Saala Khadoos Review (3 Stars)

Movie: Saala Khadoos

Star Cast: R Madhavan, Nassar, Zakir Hussain, Ritika Singh

Director: Sudha Kongara

R Madhavan looks solid and powerful with his performance as the ‘Khadoos’ coach and newbie Ritika Singh too has impressed with his role.

Saala Khadoos reminds you of Chak De India and to some an extent of Mary Kom too. The film looks very predictable from the first half itself.

Saala Khadoos is a typical Bollywood sports drama that is highly methodic and looks an average movie. Also, there is hardly any sport in this sports-based film.

Adi Tomar (R Madhavan) is a boxing coach with the Indian Boxing Association. After being a victim of the bad politics that shortens his career as a boxer, Adi is forced to turn a coach, but due to his rude behavior against the corrupt association chief, Dev (Khatri) transfers him to Chennai. As he is framed under sexual the harassment charge, Adi is sent to Chennai to train the women boxers.

After landing in Chennai, Adi is unhappy with the current team as he feels they lack the spark until he meets with Madhi (Ritika) whose older sister Lux/Lakshmi (Mumtaz Sircar) is a boxer too.

Thus, Adi starts enticing Madhi who is a fisherwoman to take up boxing as a career by offering her money. And soon a chemistry builds between the two as a coach-student and eventually Madhi falls for Adi.

What will happen when politics enters in already complicated relation of Madhi and Adi?
